What are the Basics of the Solitaire game?

Solitaire or “Patience” as known in Europe is the world’s favorite one-person card game. The object of the game is to move all 52 cards of the shoe or Waste Pile and Tableau Columns to the Foundations, which are each of the four suits of cards, ordered from Ace to King. To achieve this objective, at the beginning of the game, cards of a shuffled shoe are dealt into the prescribed layout on the screen. You must move and place the cards looking to arrange them in descending sequence in each Tableau Columns.

What are the generalities of the Solitaire Games at The Den?

In our games, the Foundations are located in the upper right corner of the screen. We have five different versions of Solitaire that will get you hooked all day, so start playing now!

We have two sets of rules of our games of solitaire: the Vegas Solitaire versions, which use the 3-card draw and allows you to roll through the deck 3 times, these games are the classic Vegas Solitaire, the All or Nothing Solitaire and the Unlimited Solitaire. The other type of solitaire is the Klondike versions that use a one-card draw and 52-card deck that you can roll through only one time.

On the top left corner of the screen of each game, you will find the Support link to contact our Support Specialist staff, the Options button and the sound control.

The Options button will launch a window with four sections:

  • The Rules for each specific game.
  • Change Theme: Each game has different layout options from which you may choose, making the background of the game and the look of the cards change according to your preference.
  • Game Report: In this section, you may request a detailed report of the game from the past 24 hours by entering your email address and clicking “Send”.
  • Hint Options: This section allows you to turn on or off the different Hint variants we offer:
    • Manually Apply Hint: This is the default option and the way it works is that it will highlight a possible card move. After clicking the “Hint” button, it will turn into an “Apply” button for a few seconds and you must click it in order to execute the action suggested by the system.
    • Auto Apply Hint: When you turn on this functionality, the system will automatically apply the suggested hint in one single click.
    • Auto Play until Stop: Sit back and watch the game evolve!. This feature allows you to have the computer play the game for you by the repeated auto application of hints. The “Hint” button will then become a “Stop” button that you must click to seize the Auto Play mode and retake control of the game.

ATTENTION! Malfunctions voids all plays and payouts.

These are GAMES OF SKILL. When playing either of our Solitaire games, take into account that the outcome will be determined mainly by your mental skill rather, than chance. Remember that on each step of the way, you may click on the “Help” link and the system will explain what you could do next.

If you close the game without finishing it, the next time you access that game you will be prompted to continue the game you have pending to complete.

The RTP of these games was calculated based on historical game data accumulated through the years. The total amount paid out in each game was divided by the total amount collected to determine the Return to Player in standard Fashion.

Not all cards must be moved to the Foundations for you to be paid, as the amount you have accumulated at the end of the game will be credited to your balance. Winnings will not be applied to the account until the game is finished.

The top cards of the Tableau Columns and the Stock are the only cards that you may play. You must arrange the cards on the Tableau Columns in descending sequence, from King to Ace, and alternating colors. If a Tableau Column becomes empty, you may fill it out only with a King.

When you are unable to move any cards among or from the Tableau Columns, use the deck of remaining cards located in the top left corner of the screen, called the Stock, which you may action when clicking DEAL. Each turn, the system will flip over three cards facing up, one on top of the other. This stack of face up cards are the Waste Pile, and you may only move or play the top card of the Waste Pile. You may quickly move a card from the talon or the tableau columns by double clicking on it. If the card has a valid move, it will immediately apply it.
